Culture of corruption in Berkeley

 Why is it okay to break the law when you are a liberal but not when you are conservative? I received some very disturbing pictures of the defacing of the recruiting office near my home in Berkeley, California. What these pot heads don't realize is that it is precisely because of our wonderful military that they even have the right to protest.
 
What happened to pro-military freedom of speech? Free speech only applies when it's anti-military? These people in Berkeley are LOSERS! Look at the pink clad aging dinosaur hippie scum that attend these rallies. What, no job? I guess being permanent students gives you the time to go to at least one protest march a day... on that government grant from Uncle Sam! And why pink? Wash those reds with the whites again because you're too stoned to know the difference?

Does anyone remember what happened to those "Free Tibet" protesters in China? Thrown in jail and then deported! That's what should happen to you, you miserable human debris. Move somewhere that doesn't have a military...

60 Minutes electric car story

Is the new thing electric cars? How would the increased draw on our energy grid be good for the environment? Right now in California, we are constantly having brown outs and commercials urging us to curb our energy usage at peak hours of the day. How are we supposed to "fill up" our vehicles from this same source without causing some sort of catastrophe?

Every time they talk about electric cars, they NEVER discuss the drain it will put on our electrical usage. Since enviro-nazis won't let us use nuclear power, it must come from coal or oil. So what we don't use in our cars we will now use to generate electricity??? It's like carbon credits. One person who doesn't pollute sells his credits to someone who does to make them "feel better". And so we shift our oil usage from our cars to an electric facility... net result 1 minus 1 = 0. How does it help the environment?

Once they start talking about solar powered cars, then we will have something of substance.

PHONEY Hillary Clinton shamelessly trying to buy votes!

I'll make this brief. Hillary is a scum bag, shamelessly trying to buy votes. First it was that $5000 savings account she was proposing for every child born in America... She's pulled back because it wasn't a popular idea. Now she's proposing FREE money for 401K retirement funds and money every year from the government until the day they retire.

Think about it. She's going to GIVE you $1000 for your retirement... how much is that $1000 going to cost? Probably $2000. Just like state's earmarks, we'd be better off if we got to keep the money in the first place. What's that called? It's called a tax cut! What does she want to do away with? Tax cuts!

What a moron. She is inching her way toward defeat in 2008. Good for her. Most people in this country want freedom NOT socialism. And she will be defeated by it. Her husband got elected by being a stealth liberal. Not her. She's telling it like it is... which is probably why her negatives are so high.

Keep it coming, Hil. We Republicans LOVE you!

Democrats on their way to another loss in 2008!

Will they ever learn? They win the House and they put Pelosi in charge. She is inept. They win the Senate and they put Reid in charge. He is less than inept! Now they have a chance to win the presidency after 8 years of an unpopular president and who is their choice? Overwhelmingly, Mrs. Bill Clinton! Did they not learn anything after 2000?

Here was Bill Clinton leaving office with high approval ratings and who is their choice to run against Bush? The wooden Al Gore. Could anyone have less personality than him? It was the Democrats to lose and they did... big time. Now you may still be of the opinion that Al Gore really won Florida, but my point is this. No matter what you think, he should have easily been able to beat Bush.

Fast forward to 2004. Bush is highly vulnerable. The war is unpopular. He's passed a bunch of spending bills that are making Republicans angry and who do Democrats pick to run against him? John Kerry! What a gift. Four more years of Bush, thank you very much. Talk about self-destructing.  

So now it's coming up on 2008. There is no Bush to run against. The field's wide open. Who is the front runner? Hillary Clinton with the highest negative ratings of anyone in the race! Even Democrats don't like her. And the kooky left wing fringe certainly aren't endorsing her, are they? So where is she getting all these votes?

In my mind, only Obama stands a chance of beating any Republican who runs. It would harken back to the days of JFK where we hardly knew what he stood for as a Senator and there he was elected President. Could be the same thing with Obama. But he has a problem... He's not black enough. What the heck does that mean anyway? He looks black to me, not that I care. I will vote or not vote for him based on what his track record is and what he is saying he will do as Commander in Chief.

It looks to me like the Democrat party has splintered so much that now it's beginning to eat its own. Anti-smokers versus dope-smoking hippies. Soccer moms versus anti-SUV Huffington-types. Even environmentalists can't agree on what our policy should or shouldn't be. But one thing's clear. With all these opposing factions, Hillary Clinton is not popular enough to pull them all together.

Can you say another 8 years of a Republican president? And who knows... maybe we'll win back the house and senate because of the Democrats chosen leaders in those two institutions. Could be an interesting election year! I'm thinking Republican landslide!

Rush Limbaugh - a GREAT patriot

The last 2 weeks' flap about "phony soldiers" has been so far blown out of proportion that it even made it to the Senate floor. Since when is it the government's business to censure a private citizen who speaks out in public? NEVER!

In this country we have a FREEDOM of SPEECH and the legislators would do well to read the Constitution and Bill of Rights before they are able to be elected to any public office. Take a look at laws passed in the last few decades and you will see that most of them infringe on at least one of our freedoms!

And now they want to censure Rush Limbaugh, especially after being taken out of context? It is getting close to being 1984, though 23 years late! Couple this with political correctness and hate crime legislation and it's not hard to imagine that children will soon be turning in their parents for what the latter are thinking!

Take the case of physicians asking children during routine physical exams questions about the parents. Of course, it is disguised as being "for the children", but these are getting to be scary times. Remember the cold war where we wanted Russia to lose because of their Stalinist tactics? Well, they're here, and brought into being by a bunch of lberal do-gooders.

Can you say, "Goose step"? Just vote for Hillary and you will see it sooner than you think with health care!

Health care... it's not FREE, stupid!

After Michael Moore's movie called Fatso... no Sicko. Anyway he spreads misinformation about Canadian Health care and how much better it is than here... even though I don't see him denouncing his citizenship and moving there, but I digress.

Here is a little internet article going around written by a supposed Canadian who tells what it's like to be one of the citizens paying for this FREE health care and what you get.

Hey Guys; I saw on the news up here in Canada where the states may soon have something similar to what we have up here in Canada. As your friend and someone who lives with the Canada health care plan I thought I would give you some facts about this great medical plan that we have in Canada.

1) The health care plan in Canada is not free. We pay a premium every month of $96 for Shirley and I to be
covered. Sounds great eh? What they don't tell you is how much we pay in taxes to keep the health care system afloat. I am personally in the 55% tax bracket. Yes 55% of my earnings go to taxes. A large portion of that and I am not sure of the exact amount goes directly to health care - our [nation's] #1 expense.

2) I would not classify what we have as health care plan, it is more like a health diagnosis system. You can get in to to see a doctor quick enough so he can tell you "yes indeed you are sick or you need an operation" but now the challenge becomes getting treated or operated on. We have waiting lists out the ying yang some as much as 2 years down the road.

3) Rather than fix what is wrong with you the usual tactic in Canada is to prescribe drugs. Have a pain - here is
a drug to take - not what is causing the pain and why. No time for checking you out because it is more important to move as many patients thru as possible each hour for Government reimbursement.
 
4) Many Canadians do not have a family Doctor.

5) Don't require emergency treatment as you may wait for hours in the emergency room waiting for treatment.

6) Shirley's dad cut his hand on a power saw a few weeks back and it required that his hand be put in a splint - to our surprise we had to pay $125 for a splint because it is not covered under health care plus we have to pay $60 for each visit for him to check it out each week.

7) Shirley's cousin was diagnosed with a heart blockage. Put on a waiting list. Died before he could get treatment.

8) Government allots so many operations per year. When that is done no more operations, unless you go to your local newspaper and plead your case and embarrass the government then money suddenly appears.

9) The Government takes great pride in telling us how much more they are increasing the funding for health care but waiting lists never get shorter. Government just keeps throwing money at the problem but it never goes away. But they are good at finding new ways to tax us, but they don't call it a tax anymore it is now a user fee.

10) My mother needs an operation for a blockage in her leg but because she is a smoker they will not do it. Despite her and my father paying into the health care system all these years. My Mom is 80 years of
age. Now there is talk that maybe we should not treat fat and obese people either because they are a drain on the health care system. Let me see now, what we want in Canada is a health care system for healthy
people only. That should reduce our health care costs.

(Editor's note: This is actually coming soon to a state near you. They are already discussing this in the US. Perhaps Michael Moore would die if something happened to him because he doesn't fit the criterion... justice!) 

11) Forget getting a second opinion, what you see is what you get.

12) I can spend what money I have left after taxes on booze, cigarettes, junk food and anything else that could
kill me but I am not allowed by law to spend my money on getting an operation I need because that would
be jumping the queue. I must wait my turn except if I am a hockey player or athlete then I can get looked at right
away. Go figure. Where else in the world can you spend money to kill yourself but not allowed to spend money to get healthy.

13) Oh did I mention that immigrants are covered automatically at tax payer expense
having never contributed a dollar to the system and pay no premiums?

(Editor's note: They are trying to pass this through incrementally in the US starting with the SCHIPS program that Bush just vetoed! It was designed to cover "children" up to 25 years old, so two 25 year old "kids" could have free health care for themselves and their six children, even if they were not legal citizens! This is NUTS!)

14) Oh yeah we now give free needles to drug users to try and keep them healthy. Wouldn't want a sickly druggie breaking into your house and stealing your things. But people with diabetes who pay into the
health care system have to pay for their needles because it is not covered but the health care system... I just want to make sure that you hear the truth about health care up here and have some food for thought and informed questions to ask when broached with this subject.

Sounds compassionate to me! FREE heatlh care that costs over 55% of my paycheck AND does nothing to provide heatlh care for me... only illegals. Gee, I could have had a V8!

Healthcare - the new NON issue!

Why is it the Democrats want to run the world? You don't think so? Look at all the laws liberals have foisted upon us that limit our freedoms. All you have to do is look at smoking, trans fats, seat belts, making obesity a disability and now they want to get into mandatory government health care?

Do you seriously want someone like Hillary Clinton dictating where and when you must go to the doctor and what procedures you can and can not have? Worse yet, you MUST belong to it (that means pay into it!). The Patriot Act pales in comparison to what rights these people are taking away from us.

If you want to see what government run health care will look like, take a trip and see the lines through security at the airport. That should tell you all you need to know. Government run health care will be the same way. Lines of people waiting because everyone will be treated the same. In the airport some may have earlier flights but it's tough luck. Wait your turn. Same way with health care; more urgent health issues may need to get through the line quicker... tough luck. Wait your turn.

Of course, the day after government health care is implemented, politicians will say we are not be spending enough money on it; that's why it's failing! Or the first corruption story would air on the news and everyone will act surprised. Corruption in something government run? Say it isn't so! Remember the $200 hammers? Or politicians getting preferential treatment on drunk driving charges? And do you really think they will stand in line with the rest of us? Think again!

A one size fits all approach could never be micro-managed well by the federal government. One only need take a look at how Katrina was handled and that should be enough to send you to the polls to vote Republican or any other party that preaches conservatism! So when Hillary starts presenting her health care package (and a lot of Republicans are talking the same way) RUN AWAY! Shame on them.

This is the land of the free and home of the brave. Let's keep health care out of government's hands and remove some of the restrictions on research and development; let's reform the laws that allow people to sue for every thing imaginable which drives up mal-practice insurance and drives good doctors away from medicine.

Here's the solution to FREE Health care! Read this or miss the most important statement ever said by anyone!

If politicians were really interested in taking care of this problem, why not just give a 100% tax rebate for all medical expense to everyone on their return?

For example, if you end up owing $0 on the bottom line, then you get 100% of your medical expenses back.

In an example where you owe $1,000 then you get 100% credit toward health deductions less the $1,000 you owe (if your health expenses are $200 you only pay $800 in taxes and if your health costs are $2,000, you end up with a $1,000 refund).

If you finish your return and you have a refund of $1,000 coming then you get the $1,000 PLUS 100% of your health expenses back to the bottom line.

Why doesn't government propose this simple solution? Because it's not as much about money as it is about controlling people's behavior.

I hate to see the government get involved in anything. George Bush creating Homeland Security was a stupid idea and a waste of taxpayer's money. We need another cabinet post like we need a hole in the head. If this passes, we will have a Bureau of Health Insurance to contend with. Mark my words!

Sowell is wrong about Iraq!

Respecfully disagree
Any time I hear someone put forth the argument that Iraq should be divided into 3 states for each of the main tribes there, I have to laugh. (See Thomas Sowell's article here) The statement that 3 fundamentally different peoples can never live together in peace and you have to divide them up into different territories is ludicrous. If you don't believe me, look at the US.

True we are considered a melting pot, and the nation's founders intended it to be that way. But most of the people living here now know very little about our history thanks to the wonderful public school system. A deep respect for a love of nation is not what keeps the peace.

My point is this. Freedom and economic prosperity have enabled the people in this country to live to together peacefully for hundreds of years, though they differ in cultures, religions and backgrounds.

In my opinion, that is the hope for the middle east which is woefully behind the rest of the world; held back by the likes of dictators and mullahs who keep their peoples in a third world existence.

Bring forth a little capitalism and you will see a new Iraq, peaceful and prosperous. Our founding fathers understood that "yearning to be free" is a human condition not limited to the United States. And that is Bush's vision, right or wrong.

Media lies about global warming! Environmental advertising blows!

The media says we only have so many years to stop global warming. PG&E commercials in California say it's a choice. We don't buy it, but like good left-coasters we bought our solar panels. Remember that story back several months ago? They still have not been turned on.

PG&E, despite their assertion that global warming is a choice, have not allowed us to activate the panels yet. Can you believe it? They are telling us the world is on a collision course with catastrophe and it's taking them 2 months to let us turn our solar unit on.

If it means the protection of the environment, why can't it be done now? BECAUSE IT'S A CROCK. It's all about the money and you know it. Environmentalism is a religion as much as it is politics and a business. There is nothing that man can do to destroy the planet... we can create messes, but nature quickly cleans them up in spite of our errant ways.

Look at Panama. We are building there. The project has been out on strike for 8 months and if they didn't keep people there to beat back the rain forest, nothing would be left of the construction! It would soon be erased by vines and wildlife, much like the Mayan ruins were many years ago.

PG&E should be sued for their advertising, plain and simple. They are not environmentalists like they claim to be. They are a big business monopoly who does not want us to get our power from the sun. They want us to continue to shell out dollars to their company for energy, not have to pay us back for providing RENEWABLE energy back to the grid like they advertise. SUN, WATER, WIND.... BULL!

General "Betray US"?

If this doesn't tell you where MoveOn.Org is coming from and that, if you believe Democrats are great Americans, this should convince you that you are WRONG!

MoveOn.Org is financed by George Soros, for the most part, and is the haven for evey liberal nutcase that has ever felt like an outcast and hates America for the great country she is. Do you Democrats really want them to be making policy for you?

If you do, then vote Democrat from now on. Right now there are Republicans, in general, who love American and think it could be made better with smaller government, lower taxes and more personal responsibility. Of course, there are guys like Chuck Hagel who are giving us a bad name. But he's promising to not run again, so let's get someone in there who thinks like us! Way to go, Chuck. Don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Recently the RNC called my house for a donation. I told them flat out that I am disappointed and will no longer contribute to the party as a whole particularly because they are not standing up for what I believe: 1) legal immigration, 2) lower taxes, 3) smaller governnment and 4) more personal responsibilty. And I said I will be contributing to individuatl candidates who support my beliefs until the party comes around to these principles. The caller said it was not the first time he has heard this.

But finally, this latest radio ad should be pulled and an apology should be forthcoming. To call a US general who has served his country as well as he has, "Betray Us" is pathetic. And the fact that it is being aired is treasonous. And people should boycott any station that is broadcasting this shameful MoveOn.Org advertisement or demand an apology,

Democrats need victims - apply here!

Why do Democrats always need a bad guy? Is this because they are always victims? Sure seems like it. They have been promising to fix poverty for years if you just vote for them, and what happens? Poverty still exists. They promise they are going to tax the rich and give it to the poor and what happens? The rich just continue to get richer and the poor get poorer. Why is this? Haven't the Democrats been promising to fix this... over and over and over and over. What's the definition of insanity?

They needed a bad guy in Ashcroft, and he left. Then there was Rumsfeld. He left. Then there was Karl Rove. He left. Then there was Gonzales. He left. Who's next? No matter who they go after, and that person leaves, they are never satisfied. Because they need a bad guy. But instead of looking at the problems in their own party, Democrats (and their lying friends in the press who refuse to report the truth) continue to look for a bad guy in the Republican party.
 
Why is this? Because they have nothing to offer themselves... except a health care plan. You think health care is expensive now, just wait! I have the solution and wrote my Sentors (Boxer and Feinstein) about it. But because it doesn't involve government control, they won't go for it. They are socialists.

My solution? A 100% tax credit at the end of the 1040 for all health related expenses. So if you get a tax refund, you add the amount of ALL your health expenses to the bottom like and get that amount back. If you owe money at the end of the year you add the 100% health expenses and either take a refund of the balance or pay the new amount in taxes that has been reduced by the health costs.
 
Hillary care? That's a BAD idea! The same people who are messing up the passport office would be handling your health care!

Finally, let's talk about Republicans who resign when they get caught doing something wrong. Why is it that you can't pry power from a Democrat's cold, dead fingers? Look at all the scandals starting with William Jefferson, D LA being caught with bribes in his freezer or Diane Feinstein, D CA who was steering contracts to her husband. And what about the Senator who was driving under the influence and checked into rehab but did not resign. And then there's the guy in a coma who they refuse to remove from office? Talk about disrespectful.

And the Idaho Senator? Isn't it just sex? I thought Democrats were for homosexuals!!! Hypocrites!

Talk about a bunch of corrupt people. No, I'm not talking about Republicans. I am talking about Democrats. With congress at a new all time low approval rating since the beginning of polls, who's running the place?

William Jefferson, Democrat, LA. Remember that he has been accused of taking bribes, and there has been investigations proving he has. Remember the money in his feezer during the flood?

And what about Diane Feinstein, Democrat, CA? She was steering military contracts toward her husband.

And what about Hillary Clinton, Democrat, NY? She has locked up her documents from her time as First Lady, however, she runs on a platform that points to this experience which qualifies her to be president. What is she hiding?

I am sick of politicians and want statemen!

Add Senator John Warner to the list of pandering fools. Although I have heard he is one of the sensible ones, when we're finally letting the troops win in Iraq, he wants to start pulling them out. He is quoted as saying that President Bush should start bringing home some troops by Christmas to show the Baghdad government that the U.S. commitment in Iraq is not open-ended.

But get this. In the same story he is quoted as saying, "Let the president establish the timetable for withdrawal, not the Congress." Doesn't he know he just contradicted himself? He wants Bush to listen to him, a congressman (sentaor from Virginia), yet he doesn't want him to listen to Congress about a timetable...

So, idiot heard from. The list Republicans who should lose their seats is getting longer and longer!

Jane Fonda's Radio Network tanks!

We have been at conferences all week but I couldn't be more pleased to return and hear that they pulled the plug on Jane Fonda's radio network. What it proves is what I have felt all along; that though the liberal left claims that the country thinks like they do on issues, it's all about the squeaky wheel syndrome. They are just louder!

Think about it. The leading feminists who were against women in the kitchen were going to talk about... women in the kitchen. And who wants to hear what Jane Fonda has to say about... anything? Once again, all the hype in the world can not sell a bad product!

Democrats have got what it takes to take what you've got!

Instead of Tax Relief, the topic should be called Tax Overhaul! Our Democrat led congress is out of control. As always, the solution to a problem is to raise taxes. Should we be surprised?

Democrats are pushing a 76 cents a gallon tax. Why isn't the President threatening to veto this? We are already being taxed on car registrations and gasoline taxes which were supposed to be going for road and bridge repairs. Where is that money? I want accountability. Pretty soon gas will be over $5 a gallon, most of it being due to gas taxes!

And Diane Feinstein wants to make oil companies pay for windfall profits? What about the government and windfall taxes? More on this later.
