McCain must be beaten

Although McCain is currently the front runner, he must go. Here are a list of things he supports that are neither conservative OR Republican.

  1. 1) Pro illegal amnesty - McCain was one of the key supporters for the sneaky legislation they tried to push through congress without our knowing about it.

2) Higher taxes - McCain sided with Democrats to try and repeal the Bush tax cuts and was defeated.

3) McCain Feingold - Does anyone think this assault on free speech at election time is constitutional?

4) Global warming - It's a hoax and most of us know it. What it has become is a slogan for car companies and other industries to market their products that seem like they would be environmentally friendly, however, look into the facts and you will find that McCain supports this scam and will cripple our economy.

Debt relief is STEALING!

Having gone through bankruptcy once in my younger days, I now see the folly of that decision. Although it is LEGAL, it is not right. As with many laws in the United States, just because a majority of senators and congressmen agreed that debt can be forgiven under certain conditions, morally it is just not right.

This is one of those cases where the law benefitted me, but even so, it should not be allowed. Take for instance the current debt counseling businesses that have sprung up on the Internet. Here's the problem. People get to pay pennies on the dollar for purchases they had no business making. What's more, by forgiving the debt, they will probably go out and do it again. Why? Because they learned nothing from the experience of living within their means. I don't have the numbers, I would bet that the number of repeat offenders is quite high! After all, once people catch on to how they can fulfill their desires for that big screen television or other expensive items and not have to pay for them, why wouldn't they think they could do it again? I would have!

As with easy abortions that teach kids not to be careful, but that their mistake can be easily fixed, so does debt forgiveness teach people that you can buy whatever you want whenever you want it and if you mess up... all is forgiven! Start over. Clean slate. Problem is, nothing was learned from the experience other than... Oops!

Now that I see so many debt relief commercials on television and in my SPAM folder, my guess is that the problem is growing. What people need to learn how to do is pay for the things that they buy. PERIOD! No economic stimulus package can fix that.

McCain is BUSH-lite!

If you thought that Bush was bad because he tried to work with liberals, think of what's going to happen with McCain. He has been as liberal as liberals get when opposing the tax cuts, trying to sneak through illegal amnesty, the gang of 14 and so on. He has been on the  Democrat side more than he has been on the Republican side when it comes to legislation.

So why do we care that Dick Morris says McCain is the only one who can beat Hillary? It's like saying you can have Skim Milk or Fat Free Milk. They are the SAME THING! Winning is not the point. Advancing ideas IS! And McCain is pulling most of his ideas from the liberal playbook.

Politicians want to win and will do anything to do so. McCain is one of those people. Look at the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold legislation. Did anyone read this steaming pile of dung? My guess is, McCain didn't even read it. Otherwise he wouldn't be violating it with his recent rhetoric.

The point is, we need a leader, not just someone who can win an election. We need someone with big ideas for small government, lower taxes and more fiscal responsibility. That's not going to happen with McCain. The fact that he won the Florida primary is an insult to those of us who think. And only proves that most people are sheep and go with whichever way the wind blows. And McCain blows.

Hand outs

When did we become a nation of hand outs? Remember the ideal where you worked hard and then you were rewarded? Where did that go?

Our government is currently working on an economic stimulus package. And guess what they are doing? They are trying to give rebates to people who have not paid into the system in the first place. Seniors on Social Security are crying to be included in the hand outs, as are the unemployed. In fact, if anyone can complain before the package is pushed through they will be promised money too.

Here's the deal. Why do we let government tax us to death, then expect them to dole it back out $600 or $800 at a time? How does this make sense? So people are okay (even so-called conservatives) with this type of behavior from our representatives, just as long as they are benefiting from it!

It is a similar attitude to the people who support smoking bans, or gun bans or legislation to increase our mileage... as long as it is something that benefits us, it's okay. But it is NOT okay.

Liberal friends have been complaining about all the liberties that Bush has taken away with the Patriot Act, yet say nothing about their liberal legislator pals passing law after law to curtail our FREEDOM!

Now they are trying to buy us off with this rebate!

Sucks, doesn't it?

Will someone call Obama on his LIE???

Obama is running campaign ads that talk about our addiction to foreign oil... Let's talk about that. Whose fault is it that we have to depend on foreign oil, anyway? Didn't Republicans try and open up the ANWR reserves to get our own oil and the Democrats (with the help of environmentalists) stopped them. So we are only addicted to foreign oil because whack jobs won't let us drill in our own country AND will not let us build any new refineries.

But what bothers me more is the reference to addiction. Addiction is an ugly word when applied to drugs and alcohol because addiction destroys lives. Oil is not an addiction because it does NOT destroy lives. In fact, try and have our quality of life without it. Someone needs to call him on his BULL!

It's the economy, stupid!

What's going on? Liberal newspapers are pushing McCain and Huckabee. Do you know why that is? Because if Democrats lost in November and one of these guys is running against them, it will be business as usual. Neither of the "Republicans" are conservative, especially, McCain. Remember he wanted to repeal the tax cuts. Remember, he was pushing amnesty for illegal aliens. Remember the gang of 14 to thwart getting rid of the philibuster of judicial nominations. Remember the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform that did NOTHING to improve the situation, only make it worse. Remember McCain wanting to give rights to enemy combatants. All liberal talking points. About the only thing McCain is RIGHT on is that we should be in Iraq. But his Bush bashing is not the way to go about showing it!

Huckabee we will discuss in a later column.

Anyway, Rush had a story on his Friday show about the economy. Apparently the Los Angeles paper was trying to put a negative spin on the economy by point to people who were being punished by having to ride public transit. WAIT A MINUTE! I thought cars were the cause of global warming and that public transit was part of the solution? Make up your mind! It either is a good thing or a bad thing. Which is it? I say, these are choices that people make because they have bought into the gloom and doom of rising gasoline prices... another thing caused by liberal policies... but we can't talk about that!

Obama, the new face with new ideas? Hardly!

Obama is trying to set forth the idea that Hillary Clinton and the rest of the candidates running for president are aging baby boomers whose times have come and gone. They've had their chance to change the world and have failed. Now it's time for a new face with new ideas and new answers. Obama in 2008.

But are they new ideas? First of all you would be hard pressed to find where Obama stands on... well, anything! His version of a platform is as vacant as Microsoft's first versions of any of its software! NOT THERE! And when you do finally nail him down to take a position, it sure sounds like more of the same old, same old. In fact, you can go back so far as pre-world war II Russia to hear some of the same things that were being proposed then!

Obama is a socialist. People site his lack of experience as 1 and 1/2 terms in the Senate as being not enough... But isn't that Hillary's track record too? Just living in the White House shouldn't count as experience, otherwise Chelsea Clinton could claim that she's experienced too! Or even Checkers the dog (God rest his soul!). But check his voting record in Illinois where he was a state legislator. Big government, higher taxes, more government regulation... how is this a new idea?

So if you think there is any difference in the Democratic candidates, think again... and grab your wallets if they are elected!

Boxer is an idiot

As I pointed out two days ago, Barbara Boxer has sponsored legislation that will ensure that no accidents ever happen on the water again to cause massive oil spills... If you believe that....

Anyway, I subscribe to her newsletters, and she has another one coming down the pike... ending the crisis in home mortgages! First of all, I know there are problems in the sub-prime market, but a crisis? Only because the media has told us so! Here's what she says:

Several bills have been introduced in the Senate to help ease the home mortgage crisis, and I am pleased to cosponsor several of them.  Of prime importance is new legislation, the Homeownership Preservation and Protection Act of 2007.  This bill is intended to protect American homeowners and prevent this disaster from happening again.  Because it contains several provisions, I invite you to learn more by using this link.

I don't know about you, but when a politician introduces legislation that is intended to protect me and prevent a disaster from happening again, I grab my wallet and say goodbye to more of my freedom! Makes me yearn for the days of the government shutdowns.

Here's the deal. First the politicians must create a crisis in our minds. Then they have to have the audacity to think that they can write legislation to "fix" it. What a bunch of arrogant fools. Almost without fail, they make the problem worse because they can not see the big picture. Take the AMT, for example. What started out as a fix for a problem, is now hurting the people it was actually supposed to help!

Now we have the health care "crisis" on the horizon. Let's see what nonsense they can come up with this time! My suggestion? 100% health care reimbursement on your income tax. What are the chances???

Boxer proposes to end accidents

Democrats in California are losing their minds. Boxer and Feinstein are pandering in the worst way to liberal environmentalists by trying to pass new legislation that, in their words, "aimed at preventing oil spills like the one that resulted after the Cosco Busan struck a bridge piling on November 7th".

Though there have been no disasters in the bay like the one that happened last month before (at least not in recent memory), her newsletter harkens back to the Exxon Valdez disaster in 1989... that's almost 20 years ago, Barbara! So we're talking 2 accidents in 20 years? Why do we need this expensive legislation? And the recent incident was nowhere near as devastating as the one in 1989.

Besides, what are you concerned young liberals going to do now that Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein are going to make sure that no accidents ever happen again? How will you spend your weekends if you don't have and water fowl to save from the oil and muck? How will you feel important? Remember, your liberal Democrats have taken that away from you!!! NO more causes. Of course, you can always join the "I hate Bush" rallies every Friday in Mill Valley with the12 old hippies who gather at Camino Alto and Blithedale at 5:00 weekly. But then Bush won't be President in 2009. What's a liberal to do???

Microsoft Vista - the last of Microsoft?

Has Microsoft become too big for its britches? Releasing operating systems early has always been one of the company's mistakes, but Vista, it seems, could finally do Microsoft in. I have no statistical information to support my observation, but I have anectdotal information to back up my claim.

Have you seen the Apple commercials where Mac and PC are talking to each other? The chubby PC fellow comes out looking like a dufus while the Mac guy, always kind, is constantly showing his superiority. As a long time supporter of Bill Gates and Microsoft, I have lived for years with the shortcomings of PCs, even making a living as a consultant to large corporations helping them roll out Microsoft updates.

But now that I have a new Sony Vaio (which I bought from CompUSA that I've heard is going out of business!) which runs Vista, my nightmare is complete. Practically nothing runs on it. Essentially what I have is an expensive brick that runs Office 2003 programs and little else.

In fact, Microsoft is so incompatible with computers in general that Windows Explorer constantly shuts down! Microsoft can not get its operating system to run with... itself!

Needless to say, my next computer will be a Macintosh. I'm through with Microsoft. I have sent many problem reports to MS technical support and never hear anything back. Am I surprised? Not if as many other people are experiencing the same thing as I am, I'm not. They are probably overwhelmed.

My personal opinion? Bill Gates has moved on to his philanthropic endeavors; too busy trying to promote his liberal ideas to run his business... which I hope he soon loses due to incompetence. My hope is that Vista puts the last nail in the Microsoft coffin!

Extreme environmentalism threatens its credibility

It has been awhile since I last posted. We have been in Hawaii where there is a constant dose of environmental nonsense being spouted day in and day out, despite the fact that most of Waikoloa has been built on top of lava fields that would have taken centuries to develop by nature had not man intervened!

I don't know about you, but I am sick of hearing about global warming and the planet in crisis. I just don't believe that man is or could do that much damage (in the long term) to the environment. I am certain we can make a mess of things like the recent oil spill in the San Francisco Bay, but several years from now there will probably be no evidence that it happened, with or without everyone's help. The planet takes care of itself.

So when will environmentalism step over the line and start people thinking that this is all a bunch of nonsense. I am not talking about clean air and water. I hardly think anyone would disagree that this is a priority. Without it, quality of life is threatened. What I am talking about is the sheer lunacy that represents the radical environmental movement of today.

One example would be the liberal women who have chosen to sterilize themselves in order to save the planet. Judging by the number of young children I see running around these days, I think they are hardly a majority. Or even sane, for that matter. The good news is these extremists will make themselves extinct, and I say good riddance!

Or what about the tree sitters in Berkeley who are holding up the construction of college facilites? The only people who find them heroes are a few who live in San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley. The rest of the world thinks they are insane and wonder how a few unwashed hippies living in trees can thwart the will of the rest of the state. This is certainly a case where the will of the few outweighs the will of the many. I say cut the trees out from under them!  Anyway, as a way of saying thanks, the tree tossed out one of the sitters who landed on the ground and broke an arm and a leg. Maybe the tree was looking forward to becoming a baseball bat or toothpicks or paper!

Then you've got the 9th Circuit who sided with the Sierra Club and ruled that the US Forest Service could not clear dead trees off of Federal Land. This is insane, considering the recent fires in both Northern and Southern California. People who lost property in these fires should sue the Sierra Club for the loss, since it was they who prohibited the clearing of dead wood from around their properties, and fueled the blazes.

When will people start to see the hypocricy? It is becoming more and more apparent that these people are living by double standards. So much so that I don't want to hear ANYTHING they have to say anymore. From what I hear, other people are starting to feel the same.

If I see one more environmental commercial from PG&E or a car company, I am going to throw up. Sure they want us to go GREEN... but the green they are talking about is MONEY!!! Green builders. Are they doing it for free? Hardly. Recycled products cost MORE than ordinary products. So does organic. Shouldn't all these healthy things be LESS expensive since the people producing them should be doing it for belief, not benefit! HYPOCRITES!

Then take Joni Mitchell, who wrote the song about paving paradise to put in a parking lot. One of the first environmental songs. Turns out she is a heavy smoker... What ever happened to think globally but act locally??? She is polluting the main environment around her... her body!!! HYPOCRITE!

And we should know by now that the music industry is against big oil. But where do they think we get the petroleum to make the CDs? Do they realize that the plastic cases their music comes in is also derived from petroleum? And how do they plan on getting their music to the stores? Sailboats? HYPOCRITES!

Electric hybrids may get 46-74 miles to the gallon when driven at reasonable speeds, but do you know how many times I've seen a Prius with "Impeach Bush" bumper stickers fly past me on the freeway doing better than 80 MPH? Aside from the fact that I never saw a bumper sticker that solved a problem, let's stop blaming SUVs for destroying the environment and place the blame on those cars with the environmentally unfriendly batteries (and they still use petroleum anyway!) and the manufacturing plants that make them for some of the pollution! Because of this there is a push for completely electric vehicles that are charged up at the house. Where do they think the electricity is coming from? Coal plants, most likely since environmentalists won't let us build any nuclear power plants (odd since they are a truly non CO2 emissions system!) HYPOCRITES!

The drive-by media certainly has this on its agenda since you will not see a news report that does not have some story that buttresses the global warming agenda. Watch the news tonight with that in mind... and you will see how the media lies!

Dick Morris, Democrats and Higher Taxes

The popular saying is that "money won't make you happy." or "Money is not the answer." BULL! If these sayings are true, then why is it that Democrats keep going after ours? Or when there's a lawsuit settlement, it's always about big dollars? Why not just sue for the principal? HUH?

Dick Morris has a piece today about the Democrats plan to take more of our money if Hillary is elected President and they take over both houses of congress. I don't think that is going to happen, but the Republicans need to stand up and tell it like it is. Here's the truth.

Whenever government identifies a problem (or "crisis" as the drive-by media likes to name them!) what's the solution? "We need more money to fix this." When they get more money what's the mantra? "It's not enough money to fix this." When we're in Iraq and the President vetoes a bill what's the mantra? "We're spending billions in Iraq that we could be spending here in this country."

No let me ask you this. When has any amount of money solved any one of our number of problems in this country? NAME ONE! And with the billions of dollars we are throwing at things like education, the war on drugs, national health care (medicare or medicaid) how much is enough? No matter what we spend, liberals say it's not enough.

So what happens when we hit 100% taxation? Once we hit that we have socialism. The government will have to decide how much to give back to us to live. And will these problems be solved then? NO. And who will get the blame? It sure won't be the Democrats.

My point is this; if 50% tax rate isn't enough and 100% tax rate won't solve the problems, then get off the tax increase bandwagon and think of something else. GOVERNMENT IS THE PROBLEM, NOT THE SOLUTION. The founders knew this which is why they made it so difficult to do anything.

Nancy Giles was on Sunday Morning and said something to the effect that just because over 50% of people in a poll said we should pass the SCHIPS program and we should get out of Iraq; why aren't the politicians listening? Well, over 50% of people thought slavery should be legal back in the 1800's, but did that make it right? NO! It's not how our country runs... That's called MOB RULE when you let the majority have its way. What we have is a representative republic... on purpose. So that heavily populated places like Los Angeles and New York aren't making decisions for the rest of the country!

So back to the tax issue. Why do politicians promise to take money from one group of people and give it to another group? To buy votes. Has that ever worked or make problems go away? No!!! So why do the sheep keep buying it? Because they are gullible. Remember the old saying attributed to PT Barnum, "There's a sucker born every minute?"

Culture of corruption in Berkeley

Why is it okay to break the law when you are a liberal but not when you are conservative? I received some very disturbing pictures of the defacing of the recruiting office near my home in Berkeley, California. What these pot heads don't realize is that it is precisely because of our wonderful military that they even have the right to protest.

What happened to pro-military freedom of speech? Free speech only applies when it's anti-military? These people in Berkeley are LOSERS! Look at the pink clad aging dinosaur hippie scum that attend these rallies. What, no job? I guess being permanent students gives you the time to go to at least one protest march a day... on that government grant from Uncle Sam! And why pink? Wash those reds with the whites again because you're too stoned to know the difference?

Does anyone remember what happened to those "Free Tibet" protesters in China? Thrown in jail and then deported! That's what should happen to you, you miserable human debris. Move somewhere that doesn't have a military...

60 Minutes electric car story

Is the new thing electric cars? How would the increased draw on our energy grid be good for the environment? Right now in California, we are constantly having brown outs and commercials urging us to curb our energy usage at peak hours of the day. How are we supposed to "fill up" our vehicles from this same source without causing some sort of catastrophe?

Every time they talk about electric cars, they NEVER discuss the drain it will put on our electrical usage. Since enviro-nazis won't let us use nuclear power, it must come from coal or oil. So what we don't use in our cars we will now use to generate electricity??? It's like carbon credits. One person who doesn't pollute sells his credits to someone who does to make them "feel better". And so we shift our oil usage from our cars to an electric facility... net result 1 minus 1 = 0. How does it help the environment?

Once they start talking about solar powered cars, then we will have something of substance.

PHONEY Hillary Clinton shamelessly trying to buy votes!

I'll make this brief. Hillary is a scum bag, shamelessly trying to buy votes. First it was that $5000 savings account she was proposing for every child born in America... She's pulled back because it wasn't a popular idea. Now she's proposing FREE money for 401K retirement funds and money every year from the government until the day they retire.

Think about it. She's going to GIVE you $1000 for your retirement... how much is that $1000 going to cost? Probably $2000. Just like state's earmarks, we'd be better off if we got to keep the money in the first place. What's that called? It's called a tax cut! What does she want to do away with? Tax cuts!

What a moron. She is inching her way toward defeat in 2008. Good for her. Most people in this country want freedom NOT socialism. And she will be defeated by it. Her husband got elected by being a stealth liberal. Not her. She's telling it like it is... which is probably why her negatives are so high.

Keep it coming, Hil. We Republicans LOVE you!
