McCain - Democrat LITE?

Dick Morris is wrong to advise McCain to beat the Democrats by out-liberal"ing" them. What a crock. The last thing we need as a country is 3 candidates with the same view on every issue. And that's what we have.

Which one said we need to set policy so that we can defeat global warming? All of them. If anything, we need a leader with common ense. And McCain has none of it.

He is committed to shutting down Gitmo and giving enemy combatants citizens' rights. As an ex-POW who is pro-military, you would think he would get it. But he does not. In fact, I have not even heard Hillary or Obama talk about this folly.

I know Republicans are screwed this election cycle. Hopefully we can hold out until 2012 and get a candidate who really stands for something. McCain will not win the election, if Democrats have their way. I've read Shadow Warriors, so I know what liberals are capable of!

Democrats on the ropes!

If Hillary was really in it to do what's best for the Democratic Party, then she would step aside and let Obama have it. After all, he leads in the delegate count, and there's no way she can catch up. The only thing left to do is pull tricks. First trick? Redoing the Michigan and Florida primaries. Why? Because she needs the delegates. There's one problem...

Clinton was the only name on the ticket! Obama and Edwards (and whomever else was running at the time) followed the RULES and did not enter those races because it was already decided that if the states moved up their primary dates, their votes would be excluded at the convention. Since when have rules meant anything to the Clintons? Especially when it comes to their own self-interest. And who is to say that Clinton will win either of those states if Obama's name is on the ticket as a candidate? Nothing is automatic.

It's actually kind of amusing to see the Democrats turn on each other and pull similar stunts to the one they pulled in the 2000 election. Once again, rules don't matter. It's the outcome that is paramount. Correction; a Democratic outcome.

So let's take this to the convention. Will Hillary step aside if Obama wins the second primaries? Don't count on it. Finally blacks should see that, although they propose to be the party for African-Americans, Democrats are not willing to step aside and actually let a black man win the nomination. Hopefully this will be a turning point for America where Democrats can no longer count on an automatic vote from the black population. It would be about time.

What choice do we have?

On the Republican side, we have McCain who has constantly voted with the Democrats during his time in the Senate. Now, suddenly, he's talking about Conservative values. Talk is cheap. He has undermined Republicans at every turn, voting against extending Bush's tax cuts, trying to sneak an illegal amnesty bill through the senate with Ted Kennedy, the gang of 14, campaign finance reform with Feingold... and the list goes on.

On the Democrat side it is a little trickier. First you have Hillary whose experience in the whitehouse was First Lady... hardly a policy making position. Then you have the health care fiasco that was soundly pushed back. Do we really want more of this socialist agenda? More big government nanny state legislation. But she does have one more term of experience as Senator of New York over Obama... though she has hardly participated in any significant legislation. I don't think "just showing up to vote" qualifies as experience.

Obama... what can I say? His followers are like the Beatles with the Maharaji. Star struck and wide eyed. Fainting? It's being called Obamania. Remember Beatlemania? It's like a spiritual revival all over again. And about what? Do any of his followers know where he stands on policies? I do.

He's about change. His website says so on the home page... "Change you can believe in". Hitler was a change from the way things had been run in Europe before he rose to power. That's not necessarily a good thing. Don't misunderstand, I am not comparing him to Hitler. My point is that change is not always for the better!

Not only that, but he's asking us to BELIEVE in change. Does he really think he can change Washington by himself? Let's see what that change involves, shall we? From the Blueprint for Change:
  1. He's going to end lobbyists... So that means if you band together to support a common cause, your voice will not be heard. Does that mean teachers unions no longer will have a say about education? We'll see about that.
  2. Shine the light on spending... Most people have not been paying attention to how our government wastes money otherwise they would not vote for liberals over and over again. But if you elect him that's going to change, and everyone will become involved. As Dr. Evil would say, "Righttttt....."
  3. Reform the political appointee process... does he realize that Demcrats have caused the president to make decision on appointees thanks to Senate oversight rules? But he's going to change that all by himself? Again, we'll see.
  4. Universal health care coverage... This one scares me the most. And all politicians are guilty of buying into the premise that we need MORE government to fix the health care industry. It's the government regulations that have gotten us to where we are (with the help of outrageous lawsuits) and driven up costs. Can you imagine some bureaucrat, who has absolutely no experience in running a business, managing the nation's health care system? Picture the same people who are running security at the airport. Then realize that they are going to be the same ones running the health care system.

And it's all going to be FREE???? Services will suffer and wait times to see doctors will increase as every hypocondriac in the country takes your appointment so that you have to wait a year to be treated for a cold. Simplified paperwork. We can't do it for the IRS and our tax forms, but the health care will be different! You're dreaming, Mr. Obama! Washington LOVES paperwork!

I can't go on. Read it for yourself. It is so broad-stroked and vapid that this column would go on forever... Kind of like this election cycle. But rest assured... Hillary or Obama, it's socialism-lite. They will get away with as much as they can... incrementally if necessary. Look at where we started with the Boston Tea Party and where we are now with taxes. Incremental-ism.

I hold the media responsible for not telling the truth. Instead they push these different problems as something government should fix. We should fix the media... Solution? Castration!

The END of Democracy? We're there!

I was just looking at a website which is very scary indeed. The essence of the article is about radical Muslims taking over and destroying our country, but it also suggests that liberals and their policies are to blame for America's downfall. It says:

History has proven that democracies are temporary in nature as it will only exist until the public realizes that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. After that time, they will vote for the politicians who promise the best goodies. I think Obama is the best at this... even better than Hillary.

His message is more subtle than hers, but is no less liberal in nature. Hers talks about issues too narrow (as in her Christmas gifts advertisement) to appeal to the general public, while his is more magnanimous and inclusive so that, even if you don't qualify for government benefits, you think you will.

So we're there. End of democracy. Too bad too. I am reading a biography of Washington and this was not his vision at all. I think he would be ashamed of what passes these days as statesmen and women... Shame on them.

Want a recession? Vote DEMOCRAT!

Listen to what Democrats are saying (both Hillary and Obama) about controlling businesses. If you want a recession, vote Democrat. Their stated policies will only deepen the economic slowdown we are experiencing, with or without the stimulus package!

They're not saying it openly. They are attacking certain segments of business such as big oil, but what they really want is to controll every aspect of our economy, and it will not stop with just tobacco or oil or health care. That's communism, folks. And it has been proven to fail.

I urge you to read Thomas Sowell's latest book on economics where he discusses how a centralized approach to managing the country's output has failed in the past, no matter the good intentions. Once again, it is a feel good approach as opposed to a sane approach. It is amazing that there are a number of highly educated people who still believe that this will work, even though it has been disproven over and over again. Can anyone say Russia?

Democrats and liberal Republicans have slowly and incrementally worked us into a state of dependency on the government. First by implementing the IRS, then requiring employers to withhold people's taxes for them, they have lulled us into thinking we are not being taxed as badly as we are. Any change in the tax rate only has a small effect on a weekly or bi-weekly paycheck and is hardly noticed.

Inch by inch they are legislating regulations on businesses that hurt and cripple our economy. Want manufacturing jobs? Forget it. They have been legislated into oblivion by heavy taxation and requiements to comply with the EPA, OSHA, the minimum wage and soon... health care!

Think I'm kidding? Check out San Francisco's latest attempt at being the first city to have every one of its citizens covered. Businesses with 20 or more employees MUST provide health care for their employees... whether they can afford it or not. How can a city government demand that a private business provide health care for its employees even if it is not economically feasible? And what about the people who use those products? Will we have to listen to them whine when the cost of a widget goes from $20 to $40 overnight? Or what about the businesses who decide they will move to Sacramento or Reno in order to get away from the oppressive government regulations so they can stay in business, thus creating newly unemployed people? Guaranteed that if Hillary is elected, this will be coming soon to a country near you!

This sort of thinking has moved our manufacturing jobs overseas! GET GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR!!! That's why it's called private!

Hillary Clinton - what a hypocrite!

Surely you've heard by now that Hillary is trying to get Florida and Michigan delegates seated at the Democratic convention. Know why? Because both states went for her... Why? Because she was the only one on the ballot!!! Why? Because the Democratic party set out the rules that if these two states moved their primaries up their votes would not be counted and therefore, other candidates (who followed the rules) did not have their names on the ballot!!!

As usual, the Clintons don't want to play by the rules that were set up and want to change them in the middle of the game... in order to WIN! Do you really think that if both states had gone to Obama, that Hillary would have insisted those two states be counted? Bet your life on it that she wouldn't have cared.

The woman is power mad and wants the presidency at any cost. Regardless if it's fair or not, she will do her best to steal the election! Obama supporters beware!

Are people catching on to Hillary?

Hillary keeps playing class warfare, but seems to be losing. Although Obama says much the same thing (when he is pinned down) he is not as vocal as Hillary about taking corporations' profits. Maybe people are finally catching on that if Hillary does what she says, they could lose their jobs and/or investments. After all, if politicians can take the profits of corporation how are they supposed to pay dividends on their stocks? How are they supposed to expand their work force? Every day she shows more and more how she would do well in a communist society but not in a free market!

After all, what about Big Politics? Shouldn't their profits be taken too? Bill Clinton has made more money after leaving office than he did before he became president. So why not take those windfall profits and put them into a fund for developing tobacco products? Oh, that's right. Tobacco is BAD. Non-smokers are GOOD.

Day by day, Hillary has presented bad idea after bad idea. Since her Christmas "giveaway" commercials, she has continued to show who she really is. A Rush Limbaugh listener suggested Republicans in Texas and Ohio to cross over and vote for Obama so she can be defeated once and for all. As in the Wizaard of Oz, we want to see those dead legs sticking out from under that house!

Want another 9/11? Vote Obama, Hillary or McCain!

Tuesday there was a vote in the Senate on the FISA (Foreign surveillance) and to his credit, John McCain voted for it. But how are we going to catch the bad guys when we close Gitmo and give the enemy combatants citizens' rights? What a wimp.

Obama voted against it. How are we going to catch the bad guys BEFORE they attack us? Call the psychic hotline?

Clinton didn't show up to even vote. Too self-centered about getting the presidency to do her job as senator?

Just some observations from Thursday morning.
