Listen to what Democrats are saying (both Hillary and Obama) about controlling businesses. If you want a recession, vote Democrat. Their stated policies will only deepen the economic slowdown we are experiencing, with or without the stimulus package!
They're not saying it openly. They are attacking certain segments of business such as big oil, but what they really want is to controll every aspect of our economy, and it will not stop with just tobacco or oil or health care. That's communism, folks. And it has been proven to fail.
I urge you to read Thomas Sowell's latest book on economics where he discusses how a centralized approach to managing the country's output has failed in the past, no matter the good intentions. Once again, it is a feel good approach as opposed to a sane approach. It is amazing that there are a number of highly educated people who still believe that this will work, even though it has been disproven over and over again. Can anyone say Russia?
Democrats and liberal Republicans have slowly and incrementally worked us into a state of dependency on the government. First by implementing the IRS, then requiring employers to withhold people's taxes for them, they have lulled us into thinking we are not being taxed as badly as we are. Any change in the tax rate only has a small effect on a weekly or bi-weekly paycheck and is hardly noticed.
Inch by inch they are legislating regulations on businesses that hurt and cripple our economy. Want manufacturing jobs? Forget it. They have been legislated into oblivion by heavy taxation and requiements to comply with the EPA, OSHA, the minimum wage and soon... health care!
Think I'm kidding? Check out San Francisco's latest attempt at being the first city to have every one of its citizens covered. Businesses with 20 or more employees MUST provide health care for their employees... whether they can afford it or not. How can a city government demand that a private business provide health care for its employees even if it is not economically feasible? And what about the people who use those products? Will we have to listen to them whine when the cost of a widget goes from $20 to $40 overnight? Or what about the businesses who decide they will move to Sacramento or Reno in order to get away from the oppressive government regulations so they can stay in business, thus creating newly unemployed people? Guaranteed that if Hillary is elected, this will be coming soon to a country near you!
This sort of thinking has moved our manufacturing jobs overseas! GET GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR!!! That's why it's called private!
