Yellowcake in Iraq? Say it isn't so!

So after years of publicizing the fact that Saddam had no WMDs, why is it that the media has not said a thing about the yellowcake uranium that was recently found in Iraq? Seems like that should be BIG NEWS. But, of course, it is being ignored by the press... because the MEDIA LIES by omission! How can we expect anything esle? After all, their job of delivering the news has long since passed. Ever wonder why the first thing dictators do is take over the newspapers???

“Hear about the 550 metric tons of yellowcake uranium found in Iraq? No? Why should you? It doesn’t fit the media’s neat story line that Saddam Hussein’s Iraq posed no nuclear threat when we invaded in 2003. It’s a little known fact that, after invading Iraq in 2003, the U.S. found massive amounts of uranium yellowcake, the stuff that can be refined into nuclear weapons or nuclear fuel, at a facility in Tuwaitha outside of Baghdad. In recent weeks, the U.S. secretly has helped the Iraqi government ship it all to Canada, where it was bought by a Canadian company for further processing into nuclear fuel—thus keeping it from potential use by terrorists or unsavory regimes in the region. This has been virtually ignored by the mainstream media. Yet, as the AP reported, this marks a ‘significant step toward closing the books on Saddam’s nuclear legacy.’ Seems to us this should be big news. After all, much of the early opposition to the war in Iraq involved claims that President Bush ‘lied’ about weapons of mass destruction and that Saddam posed little if any nuclear threat to the U.S. This more or less proves Saddam in 2003 had a program on hold for building WMD and that he planned to boot it up again soon...Saddam acquired most of his uranium before 1991, but still had it in 2003, when invading U.S. troops found the stuff... That means Saddam held onto it for more than a decade. Why? He hoped to wait out U.N. sanctions on Iraq and start his WMD program anew. This would seem to vindicate Bush’s decision to invade.” —Investor’s Business Daily

Who READS the San Francisco Chronicle?

In an article yesterday, the San Francisco Chronicle did an article about today's online telethon by Melanie Morgan and  MoveAmericaFoward.org to raise enough money to send care packages to all troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan by July 4.

While stating that "The Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy (Finally) Embraces New Media to Support the Troops", Joe Garofoli doesn't seem to understand the the Right IS the New Media.

Regardless, we are in full support of this effort and are happy that the SFGate website chose to publicize today's event. As usual, the liberal commenters were totally negative about the effort. San Francisco is full of angry lefties who need to give their trust funds to the poor and go back to work!

Media lies about Iraq by omission

The scurvy weasels that call themselves the media have been focused on the anti-war protests going on around the anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, but what they do not publish are the following statistics from an e-mail making the internet circuit.

Did you know that 47 countries' have reestablished their embassies in Iraq ?

Did you know that the Iraqi government currently employs 1.2 million Iraqi people?

Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are under rehabilitation, 263 new schools are now under construction; and 38 new schools have been completed in Iraq ?

Did you know that Iraq 's higher educational structure consists of 20 Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges and 4 research centers,
 all currently operating?

Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in January 2005 for the re-established Fulbright program?

Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational? They have 5 - 100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels and a naval infantry regiment.

Did you know that Iraq's Air Force consists of three operational squadrons, which includes 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130 transport aircraft (under Iraqi operational control) which operate day and night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 Bell Jet Rangers?

Did you know that Iraq has a counter-terrorist unit and a Commando Battalion?

Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully trained and equipped police officers?

Did you know that there are 5 Police Academies in Iraq that produce over 3500 new officers every 8 weeks?

Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq? They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals,
83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities.

Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age of 5 have received the first 2 series of polio vaccinations?

Did you know that 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled in primary school by mid October?

Did you know that there are 1,192,000 cell phone subscribers in Iraq and phone use has gone up 158%?

Did you know that Iraq has an independent media that consists of 75 radio stations, 180 newspapers and 10 television stations?

Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of 2004?

Did you know that 2 candidates in the Iraqi presidential election had a televised debate recently?

These are all things you will probably never know unless you go somewhere to find the truth. Our media has all become one-sided and it is not on the side of truth. Every day we are inundated with stories with global warming as the undertone whether it's a story about the environment, energy or animals. Daily we are treated to the wrongs that police perpetrate on those poor, mistreated crimminals so that now only the people who follow the law are in trouble. And finally, we have a presidential candidate who promises to bring us together while he listens to a minister who preaches hate of America and the white race. And he is going to represent all of us? NO THANKS!
